Haydon Holder Studio To Make long border Debut at New RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse 2025

We’re thrilled to share that Tory Haydon and Sally Holder have been selected to design a Long Border at the new RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse 2025, taking place from 16–20 July 2025 in the heart of South Yorkshire.

The border is inspired by the concept of Restorative Landscapes and is designed to promote wellbeing and connection to nature.  Entitled ‘What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?’ - from William H. Davies’ poem ‘Leisure’ - the design mimics the natural beauty of local flower-rich meadows, offering a moment of pause to slow down, awaken the senses, and reconnect with nature.

This exciting new event from the RHS is set to become a major celebration of British horticulture and creativity, with over 75,000 visitors expected to attend across five days.

We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Holden Clough Nurseries - RHS Tatton Park Flower Show 2023 Master Grower - who will be growing the perennial elements of our border in the Ribble Valley.  We’re also delighted to be working with David Austin to showcase the enchanting rose ‘Tottering-by-Gently’.  Both partners bring a deep-rooted commitment to sustainable, skilled growing that strongly aligns with our values at Haydon Holder Studio.

We’ll be documenting our journey in the lead-up to the show over on Instagram - do follow along as the border comes to life.

“We’re really excited to be involved in the new RHS Flower Show at Wentworth Woodhouse. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gain experience designing for a show garden, reach new audiences, and share our passion for the healing power of nature. At Haydon Holder Studio, we believe in fostering meaningful connections with the natural world - and we hope our border speaks to that.”

“RHS shows offer an unparallelled opportunity to engage with visitors about their reactions to a design and we’re thrilled to be bringing ours to the new show at Wentworth Woodhouse. The shows also allow us to build relationships with growers and nurseries across the UK and to showcase their horticultural excellence.  At Haydon Holder Studio we believe that collaboration with best-in-class partners yields beautiful results.”
